Who We Are
The Regulation Station CIC is a community interest company offering Alternative Education Provision and outreach services focused on providing support and education around emotional regulation and mental well-being for young people aged 6 - 18.
At The Regulation Station CIC we believe that understanding and managing our emotions can lead to better relationships, greater access to opportunities for learning, stronger communities, and an overall healthier society. Our main goal is to go beyond managing behaviour to helping our students build deeper emotional connections with themselves and others.
What We Do
We offer programmes and workshops based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) principles. Our interventions are designed to help individuals and groups develop skills for managing their emotions, improving their relationships, and enhancing overall mental health. We also offer training and development opportunities to those involved in the care of vulnerable students and their families to share ways of working that promote emotional regulation and engagement with learning for young people at risk of social and educational exclusion.

Regulation Station has made a huge difference for one of our students who had previously been repeatedly suspended from school. Since accessing their support, they have not received a single suspension. The team has not only helped the student develop strategies to succeed in school but has also provided fantastic support to their family. ~ Primary Academy Principal (Dunstable) 2025/26

I like coming to TRS and I feel safe here. I’ve been doing really well, and now I’m ready to go to my new school in September. My behaviour has got a lot better, and I can talk to the grown‑ups about my feelings when |I feel I am getting angry. I’m joining in with my learning much more now, and I often ask to do my work by myself because I feel more like I can do it. ~ KS2 student 2025/26
"I have been incredibly grateful for the support our child has received at the alternative provision. As a 9-year-old with ADHD and ASD, he can become easily dysregulated, but the staff are patient, understanding, and highly skilled at recognising and responding to his individual needs. They have created a safe, nurturing environment where he feels supported, valued, and able to succeed. The team's consistent approach, empathy, and commitment to his wellbeing have made a significant positive difference to both his confidence and engagement. We would highly recommend this provision to other families seeking a supportive and inclusive setting for their child." ~ Guardian of LKS2 student 2025/26
